General Role Description
Provide Technical Advisory Services (TAS) of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and other site services to clients
Role Accountabilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on client equipment
  • Provide on-site and remote diagnostic and repair services on client equipment
  • Report hardware, software, and system design issues, discovered in consultation with clients and Company engineers, to the factory
  • Implement corrective actions, as assigned
  • Train client personnel on system maintenance procedures and/or system operation to ensure optimum performance and minimum downtime
  • Write and/or review field reports, and issue to clients as requested
  • Advise clients and Company engineers to resolve issues related to the Company’s installed base solar inverters and AC Drive control systems
  • Commission solar PV Inverters and/or AC drive control systems to meet design performance criteria, as assigned
  • Lead respective process component of client witness system acceptance test when assigned
  • Recommend changes to commissioning procedures to improve system performance
  • Recommend software or hardware improvements to engineering department
  • Maintain current safety qualifications appropriate to the assigned tasks and adhere to both Company and client safety requirements
  • Coach associates in specific areas of technical expertise when identified by management as a function expert

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics, material science or related field or equivalent via education and/or work experience
  • 2 years’ experience commissioning and servicing power distribution, power electronic, and rotating machine products
  • Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
  • Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Availability to travel, domestically and internationally, more than 75% of the time, sometimes with limited notice

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years’ experience commissioning and servicing of power distribution, power electronic, and rotating machine products
  • Demonstrated experience in the metals, material handling, paper, utility scale solar PV Inverters or general industries
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Company’s family of solar inverters and low and medium voltage motor drive controls, engineering tools, and product configuration tools
  • Demonstrated experience working with international clients and field service
  • Demonstrated experience in international field engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in the metals, material handling, paper, or general industries
  • Proficiency in Oracle ERP
  • Proficiency in MS Projects
