Job Description Ozmo is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team!  Our intelligent device support solutions use the latest software stacks and cloud technologies.  You’ll collaborate with a fun and close-knit agile team to design, implement, test, secure and continuously deliver new features and products to our customers.
  • Daily systems monitoring and management across production and non-production cloud environments
  • Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to triage and resolve technical and user issues
  • Consult with developers to architect solutions for delivering services to a world-wide audience that meet performance and regulatory requirements
  • Drive technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations
  • Plan for and ensure adequate capacity across all services
  • Automate and improve installation, configuration, backup, monitoring and alerting
  • Develop and oversee execution of project plans for service deployments and migrations
  • Maintain and ensure compliance to Ozmo cloud security policies
  • Represent Ozmo in security reviews with customers and external parties
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule providing 24x7 support
  • Coach and develop fellow technical leaders
  • 5+ years of hands-on cloud operations experience, knowledge of AWS tools and services required
  • Good knowledge of administering linux environments
  • Demonstrable experience in shell and at least one scripting language like python
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (eg Jenkins) and understanding of CI/CD principles
  • Demonstrable experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or CloudFormation
  • Expert understanding of CDNs, load balancing, DNS, proxying and networking (ELB/ALB, HAProxy, Route53, VPCs, etc)
  • Intermediate or better understanding of application services (MySQL, NoSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, S3, API Gateway)
  • Experience with containers (eg docker) and serverless (eg lambda) is a plus
  • Demonstrable experience implementing secure and highly available infrastructure services
  • Good knowledge of industry security standards and best practices such as NIST and the Cloud Security Alliance
  • Experience participating in or creating system security audits
  • Experience using version control.  We use Git.
