VPT, Inc., a global leader in providing power conversion solutions for use in avionics, military, space and industrial applications, has an immediate opening for an Electronics Test Technician in their Blacksburg, VA headquarters.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform automated testing and screening of production and engineering parts
  • Perform maintenance on test and screening circuits, hardware, harnesses and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuits
  • Assemble circuit boards, test hardware and wiring harnesses

Required qualifications:

  • US Person
  • Able to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or submit a valid exemption request
  • 2- 4 years of related work experience or training
  • Strong problem solving skills for diagnosing problems
  • Strong soldering skills
  • Ability to read basic electrical schematics and data sheets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with MS Word and Excel

Preferred qualifications:

  • Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology /Technician Degree
  • Proficiency with commonly used tools and power tools in a machine shop setting

Compensation is competitive and will be determined based upon qualifications and experience

The first 3 months of employment will be through Luttrell Staffing.  Benefits and pay will be processed through Luttrell Staffing during that time.  After the 3 month period, if performance goals are met, employment will transition to full-time employment through VPT.
