Job Description

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to identify and develop testing to mitigate risk in an effort to increase overall product quality. QA Tester responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, troubleshooting, defining corrective actions, and providing macro-level analysis of product quality.

The QA Tester role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding test efforts alongside product development to ensure software runs smoothly and meets requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Work within a scrum team to develop and provide test cases and plans
  • Guide, coordinate, and help carry out testing activities
  • Review product quality items and provide analysis to drive quality improvement
  • Have ownership of the quality within our software development process
  • Give feedback on requirements and specifications in a timely and meaningful manner
  • Test current products and identify deficiencies with team members
  • Be able to learn specific product areas quickly and be a knowledge resource for others
  • Suggest solutions to identified product problems
  • Be the voice and advocate for the company’s purpose and mission
  • Share insights and experience in team and company discussions
  • Challenge the status quo

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of QA or Software Customer Support experience
  • Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience with a variety of different testing techniques such as Security Testing, Usability Testing, Acceptance Testing, Performance Testing, and UI Testing
  • Familiarity with Automated Testing and Test-Driven Development Strategies
  • Ability to think critically, troubleshoot, and problem solve
  • Ability to efficiently manage time and tasks
  • Ability to clearly communicate and report findings
  • Ability to make commitments and prioritize tasks
  • Comfortable and confident with web technologies
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Windows Server Administration (strongly preferred)
    • SQL Server (strongly preferred)
  •  Able to work on a team or individually
    • Highly self-motivated and self-directed
    • Accepts and responds to feedback quickly and positively
