Job Description

The Operational Engineer (OE) will be responsible for Qualtrax’s hosted offering. The OE will be researching, designing, directing and performing tasks that maintain and improve the application stack. The OE will work cross-functionally to ensure customer needs are met and exceeded.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain uptime, performance, security, and stability of solution
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated solutions for infrastructure
  • Support scaling efforts, and multi-region cloud deployments
  • Provide assistance to Services and Support teams
  • Share insights and experience in team and company discussions
  • Be the voice and advocate for the company’s purpose and mission

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems or the equivalent of 5 years of experience when combining education and experience.
  • Experience supporting a Microsoft Stack (ASP.NET, IIS, SQL Server, Active Directory, and Basic Networking)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services
  • Ability to automate administrative tasks
  • Capable of developing solutions given the needs and requirements
  • Passion for analytics, real-time data, and monitoring
  • Good working knowledge of Windows and Unix system administration
  • Comfortable working with source control, open source projects, and tools
  • Able to work on a team or individually
    • Highly self-motivated and self-directed
    • Accepts and responds to feedback quickly and positively
