Job Description

Job Summary:  Direct all aspects of curriculum development and strategy including product development and revision, research, course accreditation, as well as development and implementation of related curriculum and product strategies. Manage team of designers, writers, learning technologists to achieve department goals and ensure integrity and quality of all content. Ensure facilitation of product and curriculum development goals to align with the Institute’s strategic plans. Develop, implement and integrate business goals within practice area in alignment with corporate strategy.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Perform as well as provide direction and guidance to oversee planning and development of existing and new product offerings including product development, research, course writing, exam preparation, appeals process, course accreditation and content revisions to reflect relevant, up-to-date information
  • Monitor and identify current industry trends to create, refresh, or expand curriculum product lines; Make recommendations and implement accordingly
  • Monitor trends in learning and development to recommend innovative changes to content design and/or development of new products to stay in front of competition and meet market demand
  • Participate in client-related calls as needed to support sales efforts; provide directional content support, product recommendations to meet desired outcomes, and mapping of content to organizational competencies to support client needs
  • Maintain real-time knowledge of procedural rules, regulations and guidelines guiding the operations of the healthcare industry to ensure content integrity and integration; Manage and/or write blogs, whitepapers, updates, etc.
  • Assume responsibility for continuous analysis of content behavior, student feedback, and exam performance to make recommendations/actions for improvement
  • Identify, recruit, and contract/negotiate with subject matter experts and writers to develop relevant course content
  • Review and approve new product development and revisions to existing products to ensure highest quality
  • Coordinate custom development of products as requested by client
  • Collaborate with operational areas to ensure seamless delivery of products/services per customer expectations; Collaborate within team and with operational areas to maintain key procedural documentation on data storage and usage, content management, and learning delivery.
  • Coordinate and manage accreditation process to ensure certain education products meet CEU standards and/or legislative requirements.
  • Manage copyright process to ensure developed products are copyrighted and protected by the U.S. Copyright Office; Ensure all marks, logos, etc., are trademarked by the Patent and Trademark Office
  • Establish and set priorities, standards and measurement tools to determine progress toward achieving defined organizational & department initiatives; Provide regular feedback, adjustments and resets as needed to meet objectives 
  • Represent the Institute professionally in industry contacts, community, and business development; Capitalize on opportunities to educate audiences about CMR
  • Perform personnel administration for curriculum team including recruiting, training, and performance management to achieve targeted goals and results

 Minimum Education Required:

BA/BS in education, training and development, instructional design or related field;  MA/MS in instructional design or related field strongly preferred

Minimum Years of Experience Required:

4+ years of work-related experience in curriculum/training/instructional design or product development; 2+ years of management experience preferred.
