Job Description Radford University invites applications for the position of Audio/Video Systems & Electronics Technician in the Division of Information Technology.  This position will function as a sound and video engineer while attending campus events to ensure all systems are maintained and adjusted properly to provide clear and crisp sound and video for the best possible presentation experience. Perform setup; tear down, testing and sound checks to meet the AV needs of a variety of speakers and events. Serve as an electronic classroom technician. Respond to trouble requests for electronic classrooms and make repairs. Address other electronic learning space installation and maintenance as required.

Required Qualifications:  In-depth knowledge of analog and digital audio and video transmission systems and an ear for quality sound reproduction. Ability to diagnose and resolve problems with complex AV systems. Excellent communication skills, critical thinking and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:  Considerable working knowledge as a sound engineer or A/V technician in large and small venues. Working knowledge of Crestron control system, shure wireless microphones, video cameras, video projectors and a variety of mixing boards. Working knowledge of computer repair with certification preferred.
