Regional Sales Manager

Working in partnership with Delta Electronics, the world's largest commercial power supply manufacturer, VPT delivers its patented power solutions in a fast timeframe, with the highest certified quality, at a comfortable cost.
VPT, Inc. has an immediate opening for a domestic Regional Sales Manager with experience selling DC-DC converters and associated components to the avionics, aerospace, military and space markets. This position requires direct experience managing sales representatives as well as direct customer interaction. An understanding of an ability to present technical material to our engineering customer base is required. The successful candidate will be able to work independent as well as thrive within a fast-paced, professional, and team-based environment.
New business development via researching, qualifying and selling VPT product direct to the end user and through manufacturers sales representatives
Sell the full range of VPT products, including avionics/military, COTS, and space grade products
Manage client relationships through all phases of the sales cycle
Work directly with VPT engineering and other technical resources to provide effective an timely solutions for customer applications
Provide a consultative solutions sales process to prospective customers
Conduct one-on-one and group technical sales presentations
Provide account management to defined territory
Track customer program status, prepare annual forecasts and meet revenue projections
Develop and maintain prospect and customer lists generated from strategic marketing functions and other sales source leads
Successfully manage all aspects of a sales representative-based sales force
Provide applications engineering support to customer base
Education or training:
BSEE degree or related technical bachelor's degree
5+ years of directly related sales experience in Mil/Aerospace
Technical sales experience
Familiarity with Mil-PRF-38534 and other Mil-Specs
Power conversion design or applications experience
Experience managing a sales representative network
Excellent organizational, technical, interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated flexibility with strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills
US Person required
Due to current territory considerations, remote located office applicants preferred in AZ, TX or FL
