Job Description Radford University invites applications for the position of Manager, Technology Assistance Center in the Division of Information Technology.  This position will manage the Technology Assistance Center by coordinating walk-in, telephone and online support to the entire campus community. Establish efficient and effective workflows for resolution of technical issues with an emphasis on providing timely responses and excellent customer service. Manage the performance of 7 full time employees, 2 part time employees and a number of student workers to ensure staff are meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Develop and maintain documented standards and procedures to ensure consistent responses to problems. Analyze common issues and work with other IT managers to develop solutions or documentation to improve IT services.

Required Qualifications:  Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent critical thinking skills with an ability to quickly analyze problems and identify the root cause of problems. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing clear concise instructions to resolve problems. Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience working with, software applications and hardware devices. Experience analyzing and prioritizing support requests and coordinating resolution to problems. Experience supporting desktop and mobile devices running Windows, OS X, iOS and Andriod operating systems. Prior supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:  Experience managing technology support in a higher education environment.
