Job Description The Senior Technical Consultant is responsible for the delivery of technical activities associated with APM implementation projects.  May be asked to lead in delivery of those technical activities during the project with indirect supervision.  Will be asked to assist in oversight and coaching of junior team member’s work quality, technical skills, and project implementation practices.  As an integral member of the project team, will communicate effectively with clients and internal resources and will execute tasks in a timely and quality-focused manner.  Will perform various technical activities including server and software installation, building data visualization components, data migration activities, and writing code to customize the client’s system to fulfill their requirements.  This is a client-facing role that requires flexibility and self-motivation to meet deadlines and client expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Support the technical needs of clients, primarily, but not limited to, the GE APM Enterprise software and the Itus Digital software
  • Provide technical oversight for project team members ensuring good work quality and proper project implementation practices are met by all team members
  • Server and software installation and configuration
  • Document the technical design of client-specific software solutions and data migration routines for execution by the project team
  • Develop client-specific software solutions based on functional requirements and/or technical specifications
  • Design and develop data migration routines to load data from client into the application
  • Develop Analytics & Data Visualization – queries, graphs, reports, etc.
  • Client Specific Software Extensions – develop data structures, business logic, UI components, etc.
  • Create interfaces between client systems and the application
  • Troubleshoot issues with client's configuration and data
  • Assist with testing and debugging as required
  • Document work in technical specifications
  • Educate clients in the use of the configured APM system
  • Assist in client presentations
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience implementing and/or supporting GE/Meridium Enterprise APM implementations
  • Ability to write moderate to complex SQL scripts and a good working knowledge of PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server database management systems
  • Must have a strong understanding of relational databases and querying data
  • Must have ability to create complex stored procedures in PostgreSQL
  • Ability to write VB .NET code for building business rules within the context of the GE Enterprise APM product
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and teach required skills
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills

  • Strong Logic/Troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Desire to travel up to 75%
Desired Skills
  • Experience with or understanding of Talend ETL
  • Experience working with ERP and/or CMMS software solutions, particularly SAP and/or Maximo
  • Experience working with OSI PI and/or other OPC compliant process historians
  • Experience with handheld device setup and configuration (as a plus, experience with GE/Meridium Enterprise Rounds Data Collection)
  • Meridium APM technical certification
  • Experience working in a client facing software services position
