Job Description Radford University invites applications for the position of Applications Analyst in the Division of Information Technology.  This position will provide senior level expertise for Enterprise Systems in developing complex database applications involving new technologies, methods, concepts, or approaches in support of many Student, Admissions, Finance, Financial Aid and Academic Affairs projects scheduled for Radford University. This position will also conduct business process analysis for business process improvement as needed, independently solve conventional programming problems and acts as technical leader on various complex projects.

Required Qualifications:  Knowledge of programming, debugging, analysis of automated processes, systems development principles and industry best practices. Proficient with SQL, PL/SQL and some combination of the following: Linux, JavaScript, Object-oriented programming languages such as Java, or other similar languages. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated excellence in customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:  Preference given for experience with Ellucian Banner software products, Oracle databases and tools, web application development, and Cognos or similar reporting tools. Knowledge of large-scale computing environments. Experience in a higher education environment.
