D3O is recruiting an Inside Sales Specialist / Office Manager to join a busy business development and sales team.
Reporting to the company’s Senior Vice President and based out of the US office in the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center, the position will be responsible for providing administrative support to the US team to drive the company’s sales process from lead generation through to processing purchase orders, growing and maintaining house accounts, as well as occasional project-related market research initiatives.
Supporting D3O US Sales team (approx. 4-5 Business Development Managers) as required. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Processing purchase orders
Managing email communication in their absence
Coordinate activities in the sales process in order to bring the sales to a favorable close.
Review sales forecasts to maximize accuracy
Provide technical sales support to the business development team as required to achieve company sales objectives
Provide reactive sales support to a broad list of commercial house accounts
Manage, service and grow a focused list of existing commercial house accounts
Leads management - Manage all new incoming leads received by the business via telephone, internet and email – from initial inquiry to conversion and handover to Business Development Manager. Periodically review historic rejected leads, as the business requires.
Trade show preparation, execution, and follow-up
Maintain ongoing market & competition knowledge to position D3O as a leading supplier for protection performance products.
Understand future market demands and support the Product Management, Sales, and Marketing teams with information about potential growth opportunities. Ability to run baseline analytics to help in early-stage qualification using proven techniques such as Rapid Market Assessments, etc.
Administration of the US office
Periodic prospective outbound calling
At least 3 years’ experience in a sales/customer services environment, experience including thorough knowledge of the sales process and strategic techniques to achieve objectives.
Strong competency with technical products and materials and ability to sell utilising technical selling points
Excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills
Good customer care skills
Good written and verbal English (French and/or Spanish beneficial)
Excellent organizational, time management, and administrative skills. Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Works well within a team, and communicates well with other teams within the business.
Willingness to travel periodically to the London home office for training and team building
Quick to learn and proactive
Ability to leverage and accurately forecast both existing and new sales revenue opportunities.
Ambitious, self-motivated, hard-working, results-oriented problem solver with a positive outlook and a clear focus on driving profitable growth
Previous experience with the SalesForce CRM tool
Competent with MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Associates Degree or higher education
Exposure to the Motorcycle, Sports, PPE, Defense, Footwear, and/or Electronics sectors
Previous experience with custom design and engineering / development / manufacturing businesses
