Job Description Join Brown Edwards’ growing Lynchburg, VA location as an ADMINISTRATIVE ASSOCIATE.

An Administrative Associate is charged with providing clerical support by using administrative systems, procedures, and policies, and monitoring and completing various administrative projects.

Job Duties
Responsibilities will include and are not limited to: 
  • Manages multi-line telephone by answering phones, giving information to callers, taking messages, and transferring calls to appropriate individuals.
  • Operates office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, binding equipment or phone systems. Arranges for repairs when equipment malfunctions.
  • Coordinates meeting and conference call arrangements, including coordination of rooms, technical resources, and catering.
  • Provides reception and office services relief, such as mail, file, and stocking kitchens as needed.
  • Aids in maintaining the professional appearance of conference rooms and common areas.
  • Processes, e-files, and sends tax returns to clients.
  • Prepares invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements, and other documents using work processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
  • Prepares checker's checklist during proofing of financial statements.
  • Receives and sends correspondence by mail, email, client portals, and fax.
  • Assists with expense report submissions.
  • Interacts with clients in person and via phone.
  • Enters new client setup information into time and billing system.
  • Prepares daily cash receipt deposits.
Position Requirements  
  • High school diploma; 4-year degree in Business Administration or related preferred
  • 2+ years of administrative experience in a professional services environment strongly preferred
  • Displays superior verbal and written communication skills, including advanced knowledge of current grammar and punctuation standards
  • Capable of working and communicating effectively with professionals at all levels
  • Possesses advanced-level knowledge of popular word processing and administrative programs
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects/tasks with attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or in coordination with other administrative or management professionals
  • Understands and maintains confidentiality of all information
