Job Description

Ozmo is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our growing team. As a Human Resources Manager, you will be focused on the day to day operations associated with human resources and general office administration. You will report directly to the Director of Finance and work across multiple departments to keep our Ozmonauts engaged and champion our uniquely-Ozmo culture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the annual renewal and open enrollment process for all company-provided benefits
  • Be a knowledgeable, go-to source on the logistics and legalities of all of our benefits, including health, vision, and dental insurance, EAP, FMLA, life and disability, and workers’ compensation
  • Know the ins-and-outs of our 401(k) plan as the plan administrator, coordinate annual audits and ensure compliance with plan rules and federal regulations
  • Work with outsourced accounting firm for payroll and accounting needs to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
  • Partner with our broker to ensure that Ozmo has best-in-class benefits and have a keen eye for detail to review and approve monthly invoices
  • Manage the entire employee lifecycle to include onboarding, career development and performance improvement plans
  • Assess and make recommendations on personnel resources to help ensure the company achieves its annual goals
  • Partner with Director of Finance on the management of the human resources and office administration teams
  • Oversee the human resources budget
  • Cultivate an inclusive, positive, and productive workplace environment
  • Spearhead employee engagement initiatives and oversee major company events such as our annual holiday party and Saturnalia, our annual summer event
  • Be a trusted resource for Ozmonauts looking for guidance or support

Requirements and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or meets the SHRM-CP certification test eligibility requirements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality which is critical in this role
  • Amazing customer service
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to work across all levels of the company
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, digital environment
  • Ability to build relationships and gain trust 
  • Adeptness at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Proficiency with G Suite preferred

 

This is an onsite position at our headquarters in Blacksburg, VA.
