About the Role:

Assists in managing the day-to-day operations of the People Operations office and is responsible for performing a variety of human resources related duties including new hire pre-boarding, onboarding/orientation, confidential personnel documents maintenance, and program/project assistance. Provides support to the HR Business Partners including policy development and documentation, performance management, employee relations, and compliance and reporting.


  • Provides guidance to employees and answers questions regarding operational issues, HR policies and procedures, and general administration within People Operations. Provides appropriate referrals, as needed.
  • Serves as knowledge resource for a variety of human resources related topics. Researches and gathers information, consults with internal and external resources, creates PowerPoint and other media sources for professional presentation, seeks review and feedback for optimal PO training and PO business strategies, communicates opportunities to employees, and seeks internal and external feedback and evaluation for future initiatives.
  • Collaborates with others and makes referrals on topics regarding legal concerns, financial, safety, facilities, compensation, employee relations, and training outside of the department.
  • Responsible for confidential HRIS data entry and maintenance accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the pre-boarding and onboarding processes for all new hires including new hire paperwork and conducts new hire onboarding/orientations and tours.
  • Continually strives to improve the onboarding process in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Establish regular meeting cadence with a limited number of first line managers regarding assigned business unit to ascertain upcoming needs or current issues. In collaboration with HR Business Partners, address and resolve as appropriate.
  • Assist with performance programs, administration, and cycle including employee communications, calendar and timeline communications, compliance to policies and procedures, systems flow questions, user entry review and follow-up, and reports. Project/Program Coordination
  • Assists with human resources projects including research, collecting data and evidence, creating proofreading and organizing confidential documents and spreadsheets, paper and electronic documents and files maintenance, organizing meetings, record meeting minutes and notes, providing materials and data to participants, and recordkeeping.
  • Assists with information preparation as needed for events such as town halls, Board of Directors meetings, department meetings, company and department celebrations, etc.
  • Create and maintain company organizational charts when needed for potential organization change discussions.  


  • Bachelor of Business Management, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in human resources office serving as generalist to employees to answer questions and respond on behalf of the company, and utilizing a HRIS system for job history, employee data, performance management, and timekeeping management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to build trust and strong working relationships, effectively create and proofread documents and reports, and communicate to a diverse workforce.
  • Strong business insight and judgment, team orientation and collaborative style.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to plan, develop, coordinate resources, prioritize effectively, and maintain competing demands simultaneously with frequent interruptions and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to ethically handle sensitive and confidential information with impartiality and professionalism.
