Part of a diverse client-facing HR team with the Division of IT, the Senior HR Generalist will work with the Senior HR Manager to identify organizational deficiencies and develop programs and apply them as needed, alongside the HR team. This includes areas such as recruiting, retention, talent development, performance management, etc. This position will coach and mentor the IT HR operations team. This position will develop and document procedures with input from business units, to ensure consistency across the board.Duties and Responsibilities:-Provide support to all business units within the division to deliver effective talent management for administrative professional faculty, staff, and wage employees, and provide guidance to assigned clients on issues of compliance with a wide variety of Human Resource laws, regulations, and standards.-Manage and consult on all employee visa sponsorship needs with the division.-Evaluates and implements job analysis instruments and materials.-Assesses jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or non-exempt and appropriate salary range.-Benchmark jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.-Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales.-Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.-Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.-Serve as Operations Lead in the absence of the Senior HR Manager.
-Bachelor's degree and experience working in Human Resource areas such as recruitment, compensation, performance management and/or employee relations.-Extensive knowledge of Human Resource laws, regulations and best practices.-Extensive experience working with supervisors, leadership, and administration in a complex organization in the delivery of Human Resources programs.-Experience with completing compensation analysis.-Direct recent experience of Human Resources management principles, practices, and regulations to include compensation, staffing and recruitment, performance management, or employee relations.-Demonstrated work interpreting and applying policies, exercise judgement, apply problem solving strategies and work with confidential information.-Experience researching complex Human Resources problems, and write well-reasoned and insightful reports and recommendations.-Excellent communication skills.-Excellent organizational and time management skills.
