Job Description Radford University invites applications for the position of Help Desk Technician in the Division of Information Technology. This position provides professional and courteous front line technical help desk assistance for the university community. Provide walk-in, phone and email technical support in a courteous and timely manner to ensure effective resolution of user issues. Provide on-site support visiting the customer when necessary to resolve problems. Provide on-site and phone support to faculty in the use of classroom technology. Required Qualifications: Demonstrated knowledge of MS Windows operating system installation and troubleshooting, MS Office applications, networked and wireless computing environments, and TCP/IP. Knowledge of mobile platforms including smartphones and tablets. Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Ability to provide clear and concise communication. Ability to lift/move 50 pounds. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting and troubleshooting Mac OS X operating systems.
