Job Description Summary:
Provides software and network support, training and troubleshooting in a networked hosting environment. Provides support on a wide range of applications, such as WordPress, HTML Website changes, Security scanning and Application QA Documentation and Testing.
Core duties and responsibilities include the following.
Acts as a support specialist to the company, providing technical assistance to all customers, and management, if needed. Responds to customers’ requests for service and determines nature and extent of support needed. Provides support or refers to the appropriate staff member.
Installs, configures, maintains, updates and troubleshoots a wide range of software used throughout the company. To include two years WordPress, Linux and Windows. Performs hardware/software upgrades to existing computer equipment as needed.
As a member of the customer services staff, responds to problem calls on site or over the phone for users. Investigates error messages and determines resolution. Reinstalls program or replaces files that are causing errors. Calls vendors or accesses on line technical support to obtain updates. Investigates appropriate areas of potential problem and determines resolution.
Assists in the design, development, and integration and implementation of creative information systems business solutions for internal and external clients.
Assists in the coordination and linkage of computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and information sharing maximize the efficiency, effectiveness and overall quality of information systems.
Assists in Application Quality Assurance (QA) Documentation and Testing procedures.
Participates in the development of policies, procedures and resources in relation to the network.
Provides monthly newsletter content, and tests various backup applications weekly.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Management.
