General Role Description
Plan and schedule field service resources to ensure successful project management
Role Accountabilities
  • Plan, schedule, and assign field service personnel to client sites, using appropriate tools and methodologies
  • Provide project status updates to Company management and clients, proactively recommending scheduling resource improvements
  • Use project performance data to propose adjustments in the proposal and scheduling process to ensure that sales and margins on commissioning and service portions of projects meet business unit targets
  • Resolve client job site issues as necessary, referring appropriately to technical resources.  Escalate to management as needed
  • Update the skills database, reporting skill gaps and opportunities for skills improvement to commissioning management
  • Issue proposals and submit change order requests to clients when necessary
  • Verify accuracy of commercial documents, resolve or escalate to management as appropriate
  • Originate projects in the ERP, including customer entry, project funding, budget creation and maintenance, and invoice schedule generation
  • Generate requisitions, using the ERP, for purchased labor and material
  • Forecast reserves and accruals for projects, as necessary
  • Verify information in CRM tool agrees with order, correcting as necessary
  • Respond to client issues during and after regular business hours, on an as-needed basis

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent via education and/or work experience
  • 2 years’ related work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to assess project execution resource requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contract terminology
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 5%, sometimes on short notice
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in electrical, electronic, mechanical or computer engineering or related field
  • 2 years of program/project management, engineering management, or other related management experience
  • 2 years of experience specifying, designing, and/or commissioning electrical and automation systems for metals, material handling, paper, or related general industries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Oracle ERP, Access, Adobe Acrobat, CRM tools, HTML
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated experience in the review of commercial terms and conditions of large value services contracts to ensure risk to business is at acceptable levels
  • Demonstrated knowledge of scientific terminology and engineering processes
  • Demonstrated experience administering global mobility processes
