Job Description Radford University invites applications for the position of Applications Anaylst.  As a member of the Division of Information Technology, this position will provide analysis, coding, testing and maintenance for enterprise systems to meet user requirements and schedules as directed while ensuring accuracy, efficiency and maintainability of software. Designs, develops and implements software and systems that meet industry development standards. Works as part of a team to implement, maintain, support, and enhance integrations between our primary ERP system Ellucian Banner, vendor purchased ancillary systems (both locally hosted and cloud based) and external entities. Fosters teamwork within and across organizational lines. Provides technical support and training to campus administrative offices for Enterprise Systems supported systems. Strives to understand business processes and be able to apply this understanding to operational improvement initiatives. Communicates effectively with a broad range of users about information technology issues. Creates and maintains accurate documentation.
Qualifications: Demonstrated experience or training in business process analysis and requirements gathering. Demonstrated experience or training in systems analysis. Demonstrated experience or training working with a relational databases. Demonstrated experience or training using a modern object-oriented programming language. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment. Demonstrated excellence in customer service. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  
Preferred Qualifications:  Preference given for experience with business processes and applications supporting higher education. Experience working with Ellucian (formerly SunGard HE) Banner systems. Experience using one or more programming languages to perform database queries, modifications, and database transactions. Experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development. Experience using object-oriented programming. Experience with Java, JavaScript, Groovy, Ruby, Python, PERL, PHP, .NET, JSP, AJAX, HTML, JSON, and/or XML. Experience using application frameworks such as Spring or Grails. Exposure to working within a Unix/Linux environment including BASH/KORN shell scripting.   Apple computers and OS X a plus. Experience with Adobe Connect, Zoom and other web conferencing systems a plus.  
Compensation:  Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
