General Role Description
Design, develop and manage an organizational development function that enables achievement of the Company’s Mid-Range Plan (MRP) commitments over 3-year rolling time horizons
Role Accountabilities
  • Ensure the effective design, development, implementation, measurement, and management of organizational development (OD) systems that increase individual and organizational capability and performance
  • Design and staff an organizational structure to ensure successful delivery of OD services aligned with business strategy and objectives
  • Diagnose gaps between the Company’s current and desired organizational performance and deploy strategies to resolve
  • Provide sound advice, recommendations, and service on the human, organizational, and cultural implications of business decisions and issues, based on a thorough understanding of needs, current data, corporate philosophy, and human resource trends and best practices
  • Monitor and identify internal and external trends and issues, such as political, economic, social, technological, and legal, with potential impact on the business; recommend, develop, and implement appropriate responses
  • Use analytics and metrics to drive strategic decision making as it relates to people, organization, and culture
  • Allocate resources within the context of the Company’s strategic direction and economic health to ensure alignment with Company priorities
  • Ensure programs that address employee learning and development; performance management; the unique needs of individuals; and enable workforce knowledge, skills, abilities, and performance to meet current and future organizational needs
  • Counsel and coach on matters of people, organization, and culture to support an engaged employee population capable of achieving business goals
  • Map people policies and procedures to the Company’s values, through strong working relationships throughout the business and a thorough understanding of business fundamentals and priorities
  • Analyze, recommend, and implement appropriate measures to develop and sustain the employer-employee workplace relationship and working conditions that integrate and balance employer and employee needs and rights in support of the organization’s strategic goals, objectives, and values
  • Develop effective and collaborative relationships with internal and external clients and suppliers, domestically and internationally, to secure resources and deliver effective OD solutions which enable and drive business results
  • Facilitate clear, effective communication of corporate messages, policies and practices in ways that build commitment

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in industrial/organizational psychology, organizational behavior, human resources, or related field or equivalent via education and/or work experience
  • 7 years' experience in organizational development in a corporate environment
  • 3 years' experience leading and executing organizational development strategy
  • 3 years' experience leading a team of professionals engaged primarily in learning management; career development; performance management; organizational development, and/or instructional design
  • Demonstrated experience influencing, coaching, and developing all levels of management, particularly in change management and performance effectiveness at the individual, team, and organizational levels
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with appropriate prioritization and organization, producing measurable results, and ensuring strategic and tactical success
  • Organizational development experience in a highly technical, global business with a predominantly professional workforce
  • Demonstrated experience measuring the OD function, systems, and programs through the effective identification, capture, and evaluation of appropriate data and metrics
  • Demonstrated business acumen, knowledge, and maturity leading to the development and articulation of new, successful strategies and programs
  • Demonstrated analytical, diagnostic, conceptual, and synthesis skills applied to recommend and implement successful solutions and to produce desired future results
  • Demonstrated experience effectively and appropriately apportioning personal resources among strategy, design & development, and precise execution
  • Demonstrated skills in the instructional design and curriculum development processes
  • Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
  • Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, an HCMS, and an LMS
  • Availability to travel, domestically and internationally, less than 10%, sometimes with limited notice

Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience designing and building an OD function for a growing or transforming company
  • Demonstrated experience leading the entire employment lifecycle function
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of the Requisite Organization model
  • Proven ability to influence corporate change, counseling and supporting senior leadership in developing and managing an evolving company culture
  • OD experience with an internationally diverse employee base spanning multiple geographic locations, domestically and internationally
  • Demonstrated success in total human resource functional accountability for global, high growth, engineering services organization or industry served by TMEIC
  • Multi-functional project management experience or management experience in a business function other than HR
  • Profit center management experience
  • Facility with ADP Workforce, Taleo, and SumTotal
  • Executive coaching certification and demonstrated effectiveness
  • SPHR, GPHR, or SHRM-SCP
