General Role Description
Prepare timely and accurate commercial proposals for renewal parts including initial spares and flow quotation support for pre- and post-equipment orders. Create a network of commercial relationships with clients and vendors to increase after-market sales of renewal parts.
Role Accountabilities
  • Identify, establish, contact and develop relationships with a network of purchase influencers within current and potential client organizations to position the Company to grow aftermarket sales of renewal parts
  • Review client specifications to determine drive type, voltage, kilowatts, and horsepower to accurately quote drives, motors, and third party vendor parts
  • Identify and solicit leads and referrals from current and potential client needs to maintain an active opportunity pipeline
  • Determine whether ordered parts are initial spares, flow parts, or another pricing category and apply proper price multiplier
  • Develop renewal parts list based on project specific engineering documentation in accordance with client contracts
  • Prepare commercial proposals of drive and motor renewal parts to meet internal and external clients’ Request for Quote (RFQ) requirements and effectively communicate to the client
  • Review client PO and communicate with client to reconcile any discrepancies with proposal
  • Ensure quote-to-order conversions are trade compliant and meet contribution margin objectives
  • Proactively communicate, cooperate, and provide commercial and technical support to sales channel partners on all sales activities in the region
  • Collaborate with sales and service partners, end users, and Company personnel to develop and enhance productive relationships
  • Recommend safety stock levels of renewal parts to immediate manager based on drives’ forecasting and communicate approved levels to sourcing and warehouse management
  • Monitor and report status of progress of all major proposals to immediate manager
  • Monitor industry trends to recommend new parts service features
  • Expedite receipt of customer order to ensure timely delivery of parts prior to start-up
  • Create and/or modify item masters, ensuring proper descriptions, tariff codes, prices, and costs
  • Recommend updates to software tool for renewal parts and administer changes as requested
  • Gather data for new business needs of the renewal parts software tool as requested
  • Gather forecasted market data and sales history data as requested
  • Gather data for new product renewal parts requirements as requested

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field or equivalent via education and/or work experience
  • 2 years’ experience in industrial product sales
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial contract terminology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
  • Availability to travel, domestically and internationally, up to 15%, with limited notice

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 or more years’ experience in international industrial sales
  • Demonstrated knowledge of domestic and international shipping terminology
  • Demonstrated knowledge of import/export control regulations, specifically INCOTERMS
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Oracle Projects and Order Management
  • Demonstrated experience selling TM family of drive parts and third-party project related parts
