Job Description Position Summary:
Provides subject matter expertise and end user support for a specific application and translates those needs into configuration, testing, and implementation.
Essential Functions:
  • Analyzes business and user needs, documenting requirements for configuration.
  • Participates in configuration activities in a variety of tool sets for various business functions including but not limited to Accounts, Benefits, Billing, Provider, and Claims.
  • Tests end user processes resulting from that configuration.
  • Learn configuration tools as they are introduced to the configuration team – Examples may include; HealthEdge Payor, Alfresco, Qlik, etc.
  • Updates and troubleshoots issues with the National Provider File
  • Assists in documenting business reasons for approaches to configuration.
  • Assists with the creation of presentations and other materials for end user training.
  • Interacts with business users, IT staff, and vendors both internal and external, to supply information.
  • 5-10 years’ relevant work experience
  • Undergraduate Business or Information Technology degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Insurance  industry experience a plus
  • Fundamental knowledge of software development life cycle, project management, and system architecture
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment a plus
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to learn new configuration skills quickly and retain knowledge for addressing unique challenges to apply for future needs

  • Work environment: The work is limited to the office environment with occasional trips to other office facilities or locations necessitating walking outdoors or driving. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
