Enterprise Systems (ES) is a unit within the Division of Information Technology at Virginia Tech. Enterprise Systems supports the mission of the university by developing, coordinating, and managing application software systems that provide critical information services for university constituents.The Database and Application Administration team within Enterprise Systems is looking for a driven Blackbaud Administrator with excellent problem-solving skills and motivation to learn quickly. This position is responsible for the Virginia Tech CRM and will manage the infrastructure and ensure the security and availability of the university's Blackbaud CRM platform. This platform is responsible for over $200 million in new gifts and commitments for FY21 and over $1 billion of campaign dollars given.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, information systems or related field, or equivalent training and/or work experience.- Experience administering Windows operating system in a server environment.- Experience administering enterprise applications in a high availability environment.- Experience utilizing best practices for application security, performance tuning and backup and recovery.- Experience with PowerShell.- Experience working with vendors to resolve technical issues.
- Experience supporting Blackbaud CRM in a Higher Education environment.- Experience supporting end users with SQL performance and other database related problems.- MCSA Windows Server or SANS certification(s).
