Job Description

VPT, Inc., a global leader in providing power conversion solutions for avionics, military, space, and industrial applications, is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant for the Quality Department in their Blacksburg, VA facility.


This position will report to the Quality Assurance Manager.  A highly organized candidate with excellent communications skills is ideal.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Control the distribution of electronic document requests in the eQMS (Electronic Quality Management System)
  • Weekly distribution of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and Manufacturing Documents
  • Publish new and revised document revisions in the eQMS
  • Review documentation to ensure format and compliance per internal SOPs
  • Assign electronic Training and Test materials to personnel
  • Collect and supply requested data for EIDPs (End Item Data Packages) to accompany product shipments
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with Audits (internal and external)
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with Continual Process improvement initiatives
  • Draft various documentation and forms

Associates degree requires (will consider applicant's experience in lieu of a degree)




  • US Person
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
  • Excellent written and verbal skills (technical, business, medical or legal writing experience)



  • Document control, Business Administration, Medical Administration, or Paralegal experience
  • Experience with Electronic Quality Management Systems
  • Experience with Qualtrax (Electronic Quality Management system)
  • Experience with Adobe Create Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
