Our main line of products consists of multi-hole probes that measure flow velocity in gas and liquid media. Researchers and engineers will find probes appropriate for any application including turbulence characteristics, reversed flow and, and high temperatures. Aeroprobe’s technology portfolio includes a novel additive friction stir process.
Job Description Aeroprobe is seeking a Process Development Engineer for its subsidiary MELD Manufacturing Corporation.

As a Process Development Engineer, you will help develop the MELD™ process for specific applications and materials to ensure quality, cost, and production targets are met. You will also troubleshoot problems with processes and implement corrective actions while working closely with engineering and the metallurgy team on technical issues and problem solutions. Additionally, you will compile and present data to management related to both research and production activities.

Specific activities include:

  • Create process flow and DOEs for new materials and applications
  • Create and maintain necessary process documentation for standardized operation
  • Work closely with metallurgists and applications engineers for quality control
  • Design and Implement improvements to process. Identify improvement opportunities to hardware and software development teams.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Material Science, Mechanical, Welding, Metallurgical, or Chemical Engineering. Recent college graduates will be considered.
  • Experience conducting failure analysis and root cause investigations
  • Experience with solid-state processes, such as MELD, Friction Stir Welding, Friction Welding, etc. a plus!
  • Self-motivated and result oriented

  • Ability to work well within the team
