Job Description Reporting to Recreation Supervisors, the Recreation Assistant’s customary duties include supervision of youth athletic programs, outdoor and active adult program assistance, general clerical duties and other duties as assigned. Requires previous supervisory experience in recreational or educational setting, computer skills and general knowledge of athletics rules and scheduling, ability to communicate with the public in a tactful and professional manner, ability to lift 50+ pounds and a valid Virginia driver’s license with a good driving record.  Approx. 20-28 hrs. /wk. year-round, pay $11.00/hr.  Flexible schedule/nights and weekend work required.
