Job Description The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the position of Part-Time Deputy Sheriff – Community Resource Officer.  This position is responsible for the safety and security of government facilities and staff within those buildings; attend governmental meetings as requested; provide security assessments and train employees on critical incident safety issues; and work jointly with County Administration and Montgomery County Fire & EMS on special assignments as needed. The starting pay is $21.20/hour depending upon qualifications, experience, and certifications. DCJS Law Enforcement certification are required, and an excellent benefits package (health, dental and vision, flex spending, wellness program, wellness clinic).  Preference and salary consideration are given for currently certified officers with certifications.
