About the Role:

Responsible for advancing and maintaining the health of Torc’s enterprise systems, including software that supports our accounting, project management, software development, and human resource functions balancing the business and technical sides of IT. Administration and maintenance of databases, reporting services, business intelligence, and data warehousing solutions. Ensure security through access controls, backups, firewalls, and monitoring. Train others on new or existing technologies.

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for advancing and maintaining the health of our enterprise systems, including software that supports our accounting, project management, software development, and human resource functions.
  • Develop and maintain interfaces into relevant systems’ infrastructure and databases.
  • Develop an understanding of application dependencies, workflows, and integrations between systems.
  • Administration and maintenance of databases, reporting services, business intelligence, and data warehousing solutions.
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups, firewalls, and monitoring.
  • Monitor systems and respond to security or usability issues.
  • Upgrade and test systems with new releases and models.
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new or existing technologies.
  • Adheres to and assists with the execution of IT operational procedures, technical support, and implementation, with the ability to respond to after-hours help desk requests on a limited basis.
  • Produce operational, procedural, and informational documentation for relevant systems, promote continuous improvement, and provide user support or training as necessary.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field plus 4+ years of experience; OR some college experience plus 8+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as MCDBA, MCTS, ITIL, or Security+ are preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Experience maintaining enterprise business applications, security tools, and data management solutions across multiple platforms.
  • Experience working on enterprise ERP, HRMS, ITSM, or EPM solutions, specifically using Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence).
  • Experience in DBA, business partnering, and systems administration is preferred.
  • Possess the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary users in an agile, fast-paced setting.
  • Experience with Jira or similar EPM solution; Linux server administration strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of virtualization and deployment principles and network and information security fundamentals.
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build trust and strong relationships, effectively create reports and relate data, and communicate to a diverse workforce.
  • Strong business insight and judgment, team orientation and collaborative style.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to plan, develop, coordinate resources, prioritize effectively, and maintain programs and initiatives simultaneously and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a face-paced environment with quickly changing business needs.
  • Ability to ethically handle sensitive and confidential information with impartiality and professionalism.
