The Bulk Stock Lab Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the manufacture of all IV Stock products. The

Bulk Stock Lab Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the manufacturing and management of bulk

concentrates for use in the production of the Stock and Custom products Inorganic Ventures

manufactures and distributes.

Authority

Incumbent has the authority to manufacture bulk concentrates according to established procedures and review/edit associated Work Instructions in efforts to improve the quality of concentrates and the processes involved in producing them. Incumbent has authority to stop work. This authority permits any employee at any level to halt a job or task when a hazardous situation appears imminent or they feel unsafe

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use established bulk manufacturing and purification procedures to make concentrates and purify starting materials as required by Inventory Control and the production schedule.
  • Coordinate with inventory control and make stocks that are at or below reorder point.
  • Maintain laboratory to ensure a contamination free environment that includes the cleaning/washing of glassware, reactors, and all associated equipment.
  • Proper disposal of waste according to all Federal, State, and Local laws.
  • Continuous use of safe laboratory equipment and practices.
  • Proper maintenance of manufacturing records and notebooks.
  • Assist the Manufacturing Supervisor in maintaining the Stock/Bulk container inventories.
  • Manage Bulk concentrates released from Product Documentation to ensure that the
  • concentrates are available in cubis for the Manufacturing department.
  • Coordinate with QC to organize top priority testing needs.
  • Coordinate with Inventory Control and Purchasing to ensure proper acquisition of necessary
  • starting materials.
  • Review/edit associated bulk controlled documents as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related field
  • A minimum of one year in the Manufacturing department at Inorganic Ventures or related experience
  • Knowledge of the periodic table, laboratory practices/equipment and of lab safety practices
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of individuals tactfully and successfully within the organization
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
