Position Summary:

MELD Manufacturing Corporation is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Project Manager to oversee and coordinate manufacturing projects from order intake through delivery. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are executed on schedule, aligned with customer requirements, and efficiently coordinated across internal production teams. The ideal candidate will serve as the central point of communication between customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring high-quality outcomes and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Scheduling
    • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products and services.
    • Monitor project progress, identify risks to timelines, and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Coordinate timelines across engineering, production, quality, and logistics teams.
    • Ensure all milestones and deliverables are clearly defined, tracked, and achieved.
  • Customer Communication and Relationship Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Provide regular updates on project status, timelines, and any changes or risks.
    • Manage customer expectations and ensure all contractual requirements are met.
    • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Internal Production Coordination
    • Collaborate closely with production, engineering, procurement, and quality teams to align resources and priorities.
    • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to ensure project clarity and execution consistency.
    • Ensure all departments have the necessary information and materials to meet project commitments.
    • Resolve internal bottlenecks and proactively escalate issues when needed.Reporting and Documentation
  • Order Review and Management
    • Review incoming customer orders for completeness, accuracy, and feasibility.
    • Validate scope, specifications, timelines, and resource requirements before project initiation.
    • Coordinate with sales and engineering teams to clarify requirements or resolve discrepancies.
    • Ensure proper documentation and entry of orders into internal systems.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Track project costs, budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–7+ years of project management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, scheduling, and supply chain coordination.
  • Experience working within ISO-certified environments (e.g., ISO 9001) and familiarity with quality management systems, documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and ERP systems.
  • PMP certification (preferred but not required).

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb stoop, kneel and lift and/or push/ pull up to 40 pounds.
