Position Summary:

MELD Manufacturing is growing and seeking a full-time Service Technician to join our team. In this role you will play a crucial part in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex MELD Machines that utilize the latest technologies. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission MELD AFSD machines at customer sites.
  • Perform Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), including operating CNC-based systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) and emergency repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Provide on-site customer support and basic operator training.
  • Complete service reports and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Work closely with engineering to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
  • Other tasks assigned to support business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical, electrical, and controls)
  • Comfortable operating CNC equipment for testing and validation.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Required:

  • Experience working with CNC machines or industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Travel up to 75% to customer sites for installation and maintenance. Most travel is within the US, but some out of country travel is required.
  • Must be a US citizen with a valid passport or ability to obtain one.

Education:

  • Associate’s degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb stoop, kneel and lift and/or push/ pull up to 40 pounds. The employee must have color vision to work with color-coded wires and components to correctly identify and trouble shoot systems.
